Venado Tuerto reopens historic municipal velodrome
The historic velodrome at Parque Municipal General Belgrano in Venado Tuerto has reopened following an eight-year hiatus. The facility underwent remodeling through investments from the Government of Santa Fe and local municipal management.
The reopening was marked by the 10th Gran Premio Pieraccini Competición. The event was attended by local officials, including Mayor Leonel Chiarella and Santa Fe Minister of Public Works Lisandro Enrico. Chiarella noted that the project is part of a broader effort to improve sports infrastructure in the city, which includes the planned construction of the ‘Invencible Venado Tu’ multipurpose indoor stadium.
In the cycling competition, Nehuén Erripa of the Gremios por el Deporte team took first place. Other notable winners included María Agustina Fernández in the women's category and Javier Cieri in the Master D category. The event drew approximately one hundred cyclists and a significant local audience.
