Vence hosts family theatre show “Les Ombres des Baous” amid orange heat‑wave alert
On Monday, 17 August at 21:00, the Fernand Moutet observation deck in Vence will present the free, all‑ages theatrical production “Les Ombres des Baous”. The performance follows a shepherd fleeing a wolf through the Baous, combining poetry with local legends. It is organised by the Pays d’Art et d’Histoire du Pays de Vence and is open to the public.
At the same time, Météo‑France has placed the Alpes‑Maritimes department under orange vigilance for a heat wave, with temperatures expected between 36 °C and 38 °C. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, maintain regular meals and cool themselves frequently.
The cultural programme in Vence also features exhibitions by photographer Marine Foissey and the “Mondes Parallèles” show presenting works by David Hardy and Moka Biss, reinforcing the town’s focus on visual arts alongside the theatrical event.
