Venda Nova player suffers seizure during Mineiro Feminino match

During the fourth round of the Campeonato Mineiro Feminino on September 26, 2026, Venda Nova defender Lara suffered a seizure on the field at Arena Frimisa in Santa Luzia.

The incident occurred following a collision with América right-back Olivia. While attempting a sliding tackle, Lara’s head struck Olivia’s leg with force before hitting the ground. Lara subsequently lost consciousness and experienced a seizure.

Medical teams from both clubs provided immediate assistance on the pitch. After approximately ten minutes of on-field treatment, Lara was transported to a hospital via ambulance. Further updates regarding her medical condition have not yet been released.
