Veneto businesses forecast 52,000 new jobs for September 2026
Businesses in the Veneto region of Italy are expected to offer nearly 52,000 job opportunities in September 2026. These roles include contracts longer than one month or permanent positions. This figure represents a 4% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Growth in hiring is projected in the commerce, media, communication, transport, logistics, and warehousing sectors. The distribution of new hires is expected to be 59.8% in services, 34.1% in industry (including construction), and 6.0% in the primary sector. Approximately 17.9% of new hires will be female, while 18.2% will be for managers, specialists, and technicians. Notably, 8% of new staff are expected to be university graduates.
Small businesses with fewer than 50 employees are expected to account for approximately 61% of the hiring volume. Looking ahead to the September–November 2026 quarter, nearly 135,000 hires are anticipated, which is a decrease of 8,770 compared to the same quarter in 2025. During this quarter, 78% of contracts are expected to be fixed-term, and 58% of roles will require specific professional experience or sector-specific expertise.
