Veneto launches new professional training programs in agritech and tourism

The Veneto region is expanding professional training initiatives to support its growing tourism and agricultural sectors.

In Conegliano, the ITS Academy Agroalimentare Veneto is opening applications for its two-year agritech course focused on sustainable and precision viticulture. Located in the UNESCO Prosecco Hills, the program aims to train technicians capable of managing vineyards using digital tools, sensors, and drones. The curriculum includes 1,000 hours of lessons and 800 hours of company internships to meet the technical demands of the Prosecco supply chain.

Simultaneously, British Consulting is launching two specialized training courses in Treviso to address the needs of the tourism industry. Supported by the Veneto Region, these free courses for unemployed individuals include a specialized program in food and wine tourism and a new course for territorial communication technicians. These initiatives aim to professionalize the workforce in sectors that are key drivers of the regional economy, particularly as food and wine become primary motivations for travelers visiting Italy.
