Veneto Orientale schools receive 2.5 million euro safety upgrades

The Metropolitan City of Venice has completed over 2.5 million euros in construction and maintenance work across high schools in Eastern Veneto. The summer projects were prioritized to ensure safety and minimize disruption to teaching activities before classes resume on September 10.

Most of the funding was directed toward fire prevention measures to obtain Fire Prevention Certificates (CPI), as well as seismic improvements and extraordinary maintenance of building systems. Key locations for these interventions include San Donà di Piave, San Stino di Livenza, Portogruaro, and Jesolo.

In Portogruaro, significant investments were made at the Leonardo Da Vinci and Belli institutes, including a 1 million euro project for seismic improvements at the D’Alessi institute. Other works included thermal plant maintenance, roof repairs, and the enhancement of video surveillance and anti-intrusion systems.
