Veneto ranks second in Italy for agricultural production value
Veneto has become Italy’s second-most valuable region for agricultural production, trailing only Lombardy and surpassing Emilia-Romagna. According to a report by Confagricoltura Verona and the CGIA study office, the regional production value exceeded 8.2 billion euros in 2025, representing a 7.4% increase compared to 2024.
The province of Verona serves as a primary driver for this growth, contributing over 1.3 billion euros in agricultural value added, which accounts for more than 28% of the regional total. Verona’s agricultural sector employs over 30,000 people, representing approximately 35% of the agricultural workforce in Veneto. While the region shows strong growth, reports indicate that rising costs and climate conditions remain significant challenges for the sector heading into 2026.
