Veneto Region allocates over 7.5 million euros for road safety projects in Verona and Treviso

The Veneto regional council approved more than €3.6 million for road‑safety improvements in eleven municipalities of the province of Verona and over €4 million for ten strategic works in the province of Treviso. The Verona funds will support new roundabouts, the reinforcement of hazardous intersections, the creation of bike‑pedestrian tracks and works to mitigate hydro‑geological risks in towns such as San Giovanni Lupatoto, Sanguinetto, Roveredo di Guà, Casaleone and others. Regional councillor Matteo Pressi said, “Our territory is still characterised by dangerous intersections… with these funds we help municipalities intervene to resolve situations that directly affect citizen safety.”

In Treviso, the allocations cover projects like a new cycling path in Moriago della Battaglia, intersection upgrades in Motta di Livenza and Resana, new roundabouts in Vallà di Riese Pio X and Vedelago, and further bike‑pedestrian routes in Breda di Piave, Treviso, Maser and other communes. Regional deputy Claudio Borgia noted, “The funding represents a significant result for the territory and confirms the region’s attention to interventions that improve infrastructure safety and promote sustainable mobility.”
