Veneto Region funds commercial district regeneration and economic recovery

The Veneto Region has allocated over 162,000 euros to support urban regeneration and economic recovery within the San Pietro in Gu commercial district. This funding, part of the 2021-2027 FESR regional program, supports eight local businesses through Cescot Veneto, an entity of Confesercenti del Veneto Centrale.

The total regional recognition covers 252,000 euros in eligible expenses against 382,000 euros in private investments. The funds are divided into commercial development (approximately 180,600 euros), district promotion and animation (63,320 euros), and technical consultancy services (8,565 euros).

In a related development, the Municipality of Pederobba has announced a new regional call for projects aimed at supporting commercial districts. This initiative offers non-repayable grants covering 50% of business expenses for micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs) in commerce, catering, and services, provided they participate in groups of at least three companies. Eligible expenses include machinery, hardware, software, e-commerce, building interventions, and renewable energy systems.
