Veneto region hit by series of thefts and copper robberies

A series of thefts has been reported across the Veneto region, targeting both businesses and private residences. In San Pietro di Feletto, the Brazilian churrascaria Tucano was burglarized on a Sunday night. The perpetrator broke a window and fled with the cash register, leaving the premises damaged. The establishment has temporarily closed to allow for repairs and security assessments.

In the Ponte di Piave area, thieves have targeted industrial sites for copper. Following a theft of 39 quintals of copper from the former Stefanel plant on September 11, a similar incident occurred at the former Panto plant in Rovarè. Thieves cut through fencing to steal copper wires and electrical cables valued at several thousand euros.

Local authorities, including the Carabinieri, are investigating these incidents, which may be linked to the same criminal group. Other reported crimes in the region include attempted residential burglaries in via Cal di Breda and a completed robbery in Spresiano, where a home was left heavily damaged.
