Veneto reports job growth and expansion of vocational training

The Veneto region is experiencing significant growth in both its vocational training sector and its labor market. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the ITS Academy system has expanded to 101 new two-year courses, with total enrollment exceeding 4,400 students. This expansion is supported by over 15.7 million euros in funding from the PR Veneto FSE+ and the Higher Technological Education Fund.

Simultaneously, regional labor data for the second quarter of 2026 shows a positive employment balance of 51,800 positions. This growth is largely driven by the tourism season, with tourism services contributing 72,100 positions and fixed-term contracts seeing a net gain of 41,600. The province of Venice led the regional growth with over 30,000 new positions, followed by Verona with 15,800. Other sectors showing positive trends include agriculture and industry, while the tertiary sector remains a major contributor to the overall employment figures.
