Veneto's food and agriculture sector sees record growth in 2025

The artisanal food sector in the Treviso area of Veneto remains one of the most robust segments of the region’s economy. Confartigianato Imprese Marca Trevigiana reports 1,081 artisan food enterprises employing 5,298 workers, accounting for 18.8% of Veneto’s total food‑sector employment and about 10% of all regional food companies. Growth is strongest in takeaway food (+3.2%), gelato and pastry (+2.4%), while bakery firms fell 3.8%.

Across the wider Veneto region, total agricultural production reached €8.5 billion in 2025, a 7.4% increase driven by higher prices (+5.1%) and larger output (+2.2%). Key gains include a 6.8% rise in grape harvests, 4.1% growth in soy, a 16% jump in tobacco, and double‑digit increases in vegetables, corn and other crops. Livestock value rose 12.4% on price gains, with notable increases for beef cattle (+19.7%), poultry (+13.1%) and milk (+10.4%). The pork sector was the exception, falling 3.7% in value.
