Venezuela and Argentina implement supply chain measures for food and health products

In Venezuela, the national government and the National Association of Supermarkets and Self-Services (ANSA) have formed an alliance to ensure the supply of pork during the December holiday season. Minister of National Industry and Commerce Luis Villegas stated that the agreement involves continuous technical tables to monitor the supply chain and maintain direct communication between the executive branch and retailers to meet high holiday demand.

In Argentina, health and commerce authorities have met with manufacturers, distributors, and supermarkets to guarantee the availability of insect repellents. This measure responds to the increased risk of dengue, chikungunya, and other arboviruses driven by the El Niño phenomenon, which brings higher temperatures and precipitation. Companies such as SC Johnson have confirmed sufficient pre-season stock, while the Ministry of Health has implemented a real-time monitoring center to track epidemiological data and prevent shortages.
