Venezuela and Ecuador launch digital platforms to speed up registration and apostilles

Venezuela's Autonomous Service of Registries and Notaries (Saren) has introduced an online portal that centralises the electronic apostille process. Working with the Foreign Ministry, the system lets users submit a request, pay fees and download the certified document entirely online, eliminating the need to visit multiple government sites.

In Quito, Ecuador, the municipal Property Registry has automated the generation of payment orders for 20 registration procedures. The new tool issues payment orders in about 20 minutes, a significant reduction from the previous 24‑48 hour wait, with additional services slated for rollout throughout the year.
