Venezuela and Israel restore consular relations after 17-year rupture
Venezuela and Israel have agreed to restore consular relations and establish a coordination mechanism to serve their citizens, marking a significant rapprochement after 17 years of severed diplomatic ties. While the agreement establishes an official channel for consular services and continues bilateral technical cooperation related to earthquake recovery, officials clarified that it does not constitute the full restoration of formal diplomatic relations.
