Venezuela and Senegal promote trade reactivation and cooperation

Venezuela and Senegal are working to reactivate bilateral trade through a new cooperation agreement. The Venezuelan Ambassador to Senegal, Regzeida González Herrera, met with Abdoulaye Sow, president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Dakar (CCIAD), to discuss economic strengthening.

During the meeting, the Venezuelan delegation presented a draft bilateral cooperation agreement aimed at formalizing alliances between Venezuelan businesses and the Dakar Chamber of Commerce. Key areas of interest for strategic exchange include traditional and non-traditional sectors, as well as specialized academic training in medicine and the petroleum industry.

The meeting also served as a platform for diplomatic gratitude, with the Venezuelan representation acknowledging Senegal's solidarity following seismic events on June 24. The ambassador provided updates on infrastructure rehabilitation and community assistance efforts in the affected areas.
