Venezuela attracts tourism investments and plans cable car restructuring
Venezuela's Minister of Tourism, Daniella Cabello, announced that the country has successfully attracted investments for the tourism sector. Cabello stated that the government is offering guarantees to foreign investors and is open to both national and international alliances through Venetur, as well as with private entities, to support economic diversification.
A master plan is being developed to restructure the Warairarepano Cable Car System following a seismic event on June 24, 2026. The goal is to provide the system with a renewed image. Cabello also noted the need for economic relief for workers in commercial kiosks at the site, as many have been paralyzed during the restructuring process.
In Aragua State, the Tourism Secretariat has launched a road safety and prevention workshop. This initiative aims to improve regional competitiveness and safety standards by training service providers in areas such as hospitality, gastronomy, and road risk mitigation to ensure a safer environment for both locals and visitors.
