Venezuela begins August University Scholarship payments

The Venezuelan government has begun distributing the August 2026 'Beca Universitaria' (University Scholarship) through the Patria Platform. The payment, which started on August 10, 2026, amounts to 4,190.60 bolívares per recipient. Based on the official Central Bank of Venezuela exchange rate, this is approximately US$5.50.

This disbursement represents an 11.7% increase in bolívares compared to the July payment of 3,751.90 bolívares. The benefit is intended for students enrolled in various higher education institutions across the country.

Payments are being issued progressively. Beneficiaries can receive notifications via text message or through the 'veMonedero' mobile application. To ensure continued eligibility, students are required to keep their academic information updated on the platform, including their study center, degree program, and active enrollment status.
