Venezuela: Capriles demands end to presidential interim

Opposition leader Henrique Capriles has called for the publication of dialogue results and the definitive end of Delcy Rodríguez's presidential interim in Venezuela. These demands follow the formal resumption of negotiations between the opposition and the government.

The current negotiation process is led by Jorge Rodríguez, representing the officialist faction, and Dinorah Figuera, president of the 2015 Parliament. Capriles emphasized that the dialogue must move beyond rhetoric to address the country's severe social and infrastructural crisis following recent seismic activity.

Capriles noted that widespread public skepticism is a natural response to years of failed political attempts. He argued that the primary objective of the talks must be the reconstruction and institutionalization of the State to recover democracy.
