Venezuela captures Interpol red‑notice suspect in Los Teques

Venezuelan municipal police in Los Teques, Miranda state, detained 30‑year‑old Cristian Alexander Nieves Seijas after a multi‑day investigation. The man was subject to an Interpol red notice issued at the request of Chilean authorities for alleged involvement in repeated human‑trafficking offenses, including the sexual exploitation of minors.

The arrest took place in the Lagunetica sector (Las Dalias) and the suspect was immediately placed under the jurisdiction of Interpol and the Venezuelan Public Prosecutor's Office. Authorities said no material evidence was seized at the scene. Nieves Seijas is expected to be transferred to Chile to face the pending criminal cases there.
