Venezuela coordinates tourism recovery and infrastructure investment

Venezuelan Tourism Minister Daniella Cabello and La Guaira Governor José Alejandro Terán are coordinating efforts to recover areas affected by earthquakes that occurred on June 24. The recovery plan focuses on reconstructing housing and safely reactivating the tourism sector, particularly in communities such as Osma, Chuspa, and Carayaca. The initiative is being integrated with the ‘Plan Venezuela Renace’ to create new economic opportunities for local service providers and position the region as an international tourist destination.

In a separate strategic meeting, Minister Cabello met with representatives from the Sunsol Hoteles chain to evaluate new infrastructure investment projects. The discussions aimed to strengthen service quality and modernize hotel facilities, including recreation, gastronomy, and family entertainment areas. The Ministry of Tourism is calling for increased private sector cooperation to optimize hotel infrastructure, improve air connectivity, and formalize accommodations to meet international quality standards.
