Venezuela Defense Minister orders FANB technological modernization

Venezuela's Minister of Defense, General Gustavo González López, has announced a strategic push to modernize the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) through technological integration. During a recognition ceremony for various operational commands, González López instructed the operational and technological modernization of all tactical units to meet 21st-century standards.

The Minister emphasized the necessity of incorporating emerging technologies, data procedures, and large-scale military artificial intelligence into every command and operational unit. He stated that artificial intelligence is a guarantee of “strategic superiority, timely response, and operational efficiency in the present.”

In a separate event, González López led the commemoration of the 22nd anniversary of the Military Criminal Judicial Circuit and Martial Court. During the ceremony, he highlighted the specialized nature of military jurisdiction and presented decorations to ten legal and military magistracy professionals for their ethics and adherence to due process.
