Venezuela distributes malaria supplies in Amazonas state

The Venezuelan Ministry of Popular Power for Health, in coordination with the Amazonas State Health Directorate and the Malaria Elimination Program, conducted a distribution of essential medical supplies across several jungle municipalities on October 24.

The operation targeted the municipalities of Autana, Alto Orinoco, Atabapo, Manapiare, Maroa, and Río Negro to ensure the continuity of malaria prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in remote areas. Distributed items included rapid tests, diagnostic materials, and antimalarial treatments.

Additionally, resources were allocated to reinforce immunization coverage in the Río Negro municipality and the Mavaca parish of the Alto Orinoco municipality, including the distribution of vaccines and support personnel.
