Venezuela experiences electrical fluctuations in Caracas and multiple states

A significant electrical fluctuation occurred across several regions of Venezuela, including Caracas, Miranda, Valles del Tuy, and Carabobo, on the morning of October 2, 2026.

Users on social media reported the instability, expressing concern over potential damage to electrical appliances. As of the latest reports, the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) has not issued an official statement regarding the cause of the fluctuation.

In an effort to address the ongoing energy crisis, a new turbine from Zulia state is expected to be integrated into the National Electric System in the coming hours, which is intended to provide an additional 150 megawatts.
