Venezuela gains new international airline routes as Aeroméxico and Copa expand service

Aeroméxico announced plans to resume flights to Caracas, Venezuela, using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The airline aims to launch the route from Mexico City to the Simón Bolívar International Airport in October 2026, pending government approval, and expects the service to strengthen commercial, tourism and cultural ties while adding to its network of ten South‑American routes.

Copa Airlines has reactivated service at the José Antonio Anzoátegui International Airport in Barcelona, Venezuela. The carrier now operates three weekly flights to Panama’s Tocumen Airport, allowing connections to more than 85 destinations in 32 countries across the Americas. Seats are offered in several economy and executive fare classes, and the Boeing 737‑700 can carry up to 142 passengers.
