Venezuela gasoline distribution schedule by license plate

Venezuela continues to utilize a license plate-based distribution schedule for subsidized gasoline. Under the current system, motorists are assigned a monthly quota of 120 liters for cars and 60 liters for motorcycles.

Payments for subsidized fuel must be made electronically through the BiopagoPDV system via the Sistema Patria platform. Users can check their remaining fuel balance by sending a text message with the words "SALDO" or "GASOLINA" to the number 3777. While many users rely on government bonuses within the Patria wallet, the system also allows for bank transfers to replenish funds.

In addition to the subsidized fuel, certain service stations authorized by PDVSA offer 97-octane Super Premium gasoline for high-end vehicles, which follows a different payment modality.
