Venezuela hosts breast cancer screening initiatives in La Guaira and Caracas

Various health initiatives are underway in Venezuela to promote breast cancer awareness and early detection. In La Guaira, the Hospital Materno Infantil de Macuto conducted an ultrasound screening session for 25 women. Led by mastologist Francisco Rodríguez, the program focused on early anomaly detection and preventive education, including guidance on self-examinations.

In Caracas, Clínica CEMO and Rotary Valle have organized a free breast cancer screening event scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026. The initiative aims to provide physical examinations and preventive evaluations at no cost to women of all ages, emphasizing that early identification increases treatment success rates and allows for less invasive medical interventions.
