Venezuela hosts international oil and gas summit in Caracas

The International Oil and Gas Summit of Venezuela (VIOGS 2026) is taking place in Caracas, drawing approximately 650 executives, officials, and representatives from over 30 countries. The event features around 250 companies, including major global players such as ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies, BP, Repsol, Siemens, and Hunt Oil. Discussions focus on oil production recovery, infrastructure, natural gas development, and investment opportunities within the Venezuelan energy sector.

In conjunction with the summit, the Cámara Petrolera de Venezuela (CPV) has announced its new Board of Directors for the 2026-2028 term. Álvaro Pérez has assumed the presidency, supported by Vice Presidents Stefano Fugazza and Juan Carlos Andrade. The new leadership aims to boost the competitiveness of affiliated companies, promote strategic commercial alliances, and strengthen the local value chain by incentivizing national content and energy sector investment.
