Venezuela hosts PET Summit and Fintech Forum in Caracas

The PET Summit Venezuela 2026 was inaugurated at the Hotel Eurobuilding in Caracas, highlighting a significant expansion in the domestic pet industry. Experts at the event, including economist Asdrúbal Oliveros and Luis Lujan of the Venezuelan Association of the Animal Health Industry, projected the market will grow by more than 34%, reaching an estimated $430 million. This growth follows a rise from an $80 million market to a projected $280 million by the end of 2025, driven by pets becoming integral family members and a diversification of services including specialized healthcare, training, and funeral services.

Additionally, the Venezuela Fintech Forum 2026 has been rescheduled for November 28 at the Hotel Eurobuilding. Originally planned for August, the event was postponed due to the national seismic context. The rescheduled forum will now be open to the public and will focus on financial innovation, the institutional adoption of digital assets and stablecoins, and a social impact initiative in collaboration with the Hospital Ortopédico Infantil.
