Venezuelan institutions adjust hours for Energy Saving Plan

Various Venezuelan institutions are adjusting their administrative working hours to comply with a national Energy Saving Plan.

The Service for Identification, Migration and Foreigners (Saime) announced new schedules for several offices in Caracas, Lara, and Aragua starting August 10. In the capital, some locations will operate only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while others will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In Aragua, the La Victoria office will exclusively handle passport collection during morning hours, while the Jacinto Lara office in Lara will also adopt a morning-only schedule.

In the southern region, the municipal governments of Guanipa and Simón Rodríguez (El Tigre) have implemented interday work schemes for administrative and manual staff, typically between 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Essential services, including public safety, health, and basic utilities, will continue to operate under their regular schedules to ensure community coverage.
