Venezuela implements educational technology and academic reforms
The Venezuelan government is implementing several measures to support the educational sector. In San Sebastián de los Reyes, Aragua, authorities held a meeting with school directors to address local institutional challenges. As part of this initiative, technological equipment was distributed to assist with school administrative management.
On a national level, the Ministry of Education is working to strengthen university academic careers. Minister Ana María Sanjuán announced the expansion of an academic responsibility bonus, which was initially for regular professors but is being extended to contract teachers and will soon include conventional full-time faculty.
Additional proposals include a program to reincorporate retired professors through a model similar to the Spanish ‘professor emeritus’ system, research scholarships for priority areas, and specialized support programs for young teachers entering the university system.
