Venezuela implements electrical service improvements in Zulia and Carabobo
Authorities in Venezuela are implementing measures to stabilize and improve the electrical service in the Zulia and Carabobo regions. In San Francisco, Zulia, the local mayor's office, the Zulia Governor's office, and Corpoelec installed 10 new transformers. These units, with capacities ranging from 37.5 to 100 kVA, replaced older equipment to increase distribution capacity and meet rising residential, commercial, and industrial demand. The deployment benefited over 150 families across the Domitila Flores, Marcial Hernández, and Francisco Ochoa parishes.
In Carabobo, regional and ministerial authorities held working sessions to address power supply failures. Governor Rafael Lacava and sectoral Vice President Juan José Ramírez discussed strategies to add new megawatts to the National Electric System (SEN). The plan prioritizes strengthening thermoelectric infrastructure to balance service frequency in the central-western region and mitigate fluctuations. Technical commissions will continue inspecting and maintaining operational centers to ensure long-term stability.
