Venezuela implements housing recovery plan for earthquake victims

Under the ‘Plan Venezuela Renace’ initiative, the Venezuelan government is implementing measures to assist families affected by recent seismic activity. In Maracay, construction materials including cement and blocks have been delivered to the Girardot municipality to rehabilitate homes with cracked or partially collapsed walls. Beneficiaries include residential complexes in San Jacinto, Los Mangos, Andrés Bello, El Centro, and La Soledad.

Additionally, the Banco de Venezuela (BDV) has announced the pre-approval of social credits for 238 family leaders to facilitate the restitution of primary residences. These notifications were sent via the BDVApp and email. The bank has established a digital process for applicants to upload necessary documentation through its website to continue the housing recovery process.
