Venezuela launches July 2026 bonuses for teachers and state‑sector staff

On 10 July 2026 the Venezuelan government began disbursing two cash bonuses through the Platform Patria.

The "Special Vacation Bonus" for public‑education workers – teachers, administrators and maintenance staff – is set at 44,586.10 bolívares, equivalent to about US$62.8 at the official exchange rate.

A separate "Bono de Corresponsabilidad y Formación" for trusted personnel of strategic state enterprises, including the ministries of Defense, PDVSA, Corpoelec and other public entities, totals 75,960 bolívares (approximately US$107.0). The payment targets special‑payroll staff and is based on criteria such as trust level, education and performance.

Both subsidies are part of the government's response to the ongoing emergency following the 24 June earthquakes and are delivered via the mobile Platform Patria system.
