Venezuela launches plan to strengthen national identity and heritage

Venezuela has launched a new plan to strengthen national identity and protect cultural heritage. Announced by Culture Minister Alejandro López, the initiative aims to promote Venezuelan history and values within classrooms and local communities across the country.

The project will be implemented in coordination with the History, Memory, and Heritage Network and the Insurgent History Movement. Key objectives include centering the figure of Simón Bolívar as a pillar of national identity and establishing sustainable cultural alliances involving the youth. Historians involved in the initiative emphasized the importance of collective work to consolidate an inclusive cultural policy that vindicates national memory.
