Venezuela Ministry of University Education reviews payrolls for professor salary adjustments

Venezuela's Ministry of University Education has initiated a process to review and update payrolls to facilitate potential salary adjustments for university professors. The ministry is working with human resources departments across various institutions to certify, clean, and update personnel data to ensure that compensation reaches the correct recipients effectively.

Participating institutions include the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Universidad de Carabobo, Universidad del Zulia, Universidad de Oriente, and Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado. These universities are responsible for certifying their respective payrolls and submitting the information to the ministry.

In addition to the payroll updates, the ministry mentioned a project to propose a new legal framework to modernize the higher education system. This initiative aims to strengthen institutional functions and improve the social welfare of professors through a new University Law.
