Venezuela proposal suggests 30-dollar transport bonus for public employees

Yelmira Jiménez, president of the Línea Voluntad de Ghandi in Caricuao, has proposed the implementation of a monthly transportation bonus of approximately 30 dollars for public employees. The proposal aims to compensate for rising urban fare costs and restore a benefit that was previously part of the integral salary.

Jiménez noted that current transportation fare adjustments are anchored to 0.25 dollars and are indexed on the first days of each month. She referenced previous negotiations involving Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, which established this periodic adjustment mechanism while ongoing conversations continue.
