Venezuela qualifies for 2027 Women's Baseball World Cup

The Venezuelan women's national baseball team has qualified for the 2027 Women's Baseball World Cup for the seventh consecutive time. Following the qualifying round held in Tainan, Chinese Taipei, Venezuela secured its spot by finishing second in the group with a 4-1 record.

Venezuela's qualification was cemented with victories over the Philippines (10-0) and Cuba (5-2). They finished behind Japan, who went undefeated, and ahead of Chinese Taipei. The three teams from this group will join the United States, Canada, and Australia in the final phase of the tournament.

The 2027 World Cup final stage is scheduled to take place from July 19 to July 27 in Rockford, Illinois, United States. Individual standout performances during the qualifiers included Mariana Natera, who led in batting average with .750, and pitcher Abril Amaro, who recorded an immaculate ERA.
