Venezuela Receives Condolences and Aid from Nicaragua and Equatorial Guinea after June Quakes

A double earthquake struck Venezuela on 24 June 2026, prompting regional diplomatic responses. On 3 July, a high‑level Nicaraguan delegation visited the Venezuelan embassy in Caracas to sign a condolence book for the victims and injured, according to statements from Nicaragua’s government. The delegation included foreign minister Denis Moncada and several senior ministers and youth officials.

The day before, Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez hosted an Equatorial Guinean delegation in Caracas. The visit reaffirmed bilateral solidarity and resulted in the delivery of food kits and essential medicines, sent at the direction of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. The aid was intended for the most vulnerable populations affected by the earthquakes.
