Venezuela reclaims control of Carabobo international airports
The Venezuelan national government has reassumed control and administration of the Arturo Michelena International Airport in Valencia and the General Bartolomé Salom Airport in Puerto Cabello. This move ends the period of decentralized management previously held by the Carabobo State Government.
According to Official Gazette No. 43.443 issued by the Ministry of People's Power for Transport, the state-run entity Bolivariana de Aeropuertos (BAER) will now manage and control all movable and immovable assets related to both terminals. The central government's authority includes the maintenance of runways, ramps, and passenger and cargo areas, as well as the commercial exploitation of airport spaces.
