Venezuela rehabilitates baseball stadiums in Maracaibo and Monagas
Infrastructure projects are underway to restore baseball facilities in different regions of Venezuela. In Maracaibo, the Alejandro Borges Stadium, formerly the Olympic Stadium, is entering its final phase of renovation. The project, managed by the Maracaibo Mayor's Office, aims to provide a modern space for youth baseball. The stadium is scheduled for reinauguration on November 11, honoring Luis Aparicio Montiel.
In the Libertador Municipality of Monagas state, Mayor Carlos Requena has inaugurated the first phase of the Juan Marín Baseball Stadium in the Mata Negra sector. Completed works include the rehabilitation of dugouts, roof reconstruction, and restoration of the bleachers. The reopening was marked by a local baseball tournament featuring teams such as Los Colosos de Chaguaramas, Mata Negra, Consentidos de Mata Negra, and Nueva Generación.
