Venezuela Renace 2026 sports games launch second phase in Caracas

The second phase of the Venezuela Renace 2026 sports games has commenced in Caracas, serving as a community gathering point for families living in transitory camps. The program, which includes children, adolescents, and seniors, features various disciplines such as boxing, mini-athletics, futsal, chess, dominoes, table tennis, basketball, and volleyball.

Minister of Sport Franklin Cardillo stated that the initiative follows instructions from President Delcy Rodríguez and aims to support communities in La Guaira, Caracas, Miranda, and Aragua, which were primarily affected by the seismic activity on June 24.

Between July 29 and August 21, the program has recorded 5,557 total participants, including 5,335 athletes (2,949 males and 2,386 females), 157 coaches, and 85 delegates. La Guaira has seen the highest participation with 2,440 people, followed by Caracas with 2,404, Miranda with 514, and Aragua with 23.
