Saime limits in‑person services at multiple offices until July 31 amid emergency
The Servicio Administrativo de Identificación, Migración y Extranjería (Saime) announced temporary suspension of in‑person services at five offices — three in the state of La Guaira (La Guaira, Vargas I, Caraballeda and Catia la Mar) and two in Caracas (Catia and GNB El Paraíso) — from 27 to 31 July 2026. Passports and visas processed at the closed sites must be collected at Saime’s Central office on Av. Baralt, which will remain open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the same period.

The changes follow the national emergency decree issued by President Delcy Rodríguez after the June 24 earthquakes that struck Caracas and six other states. In a related development, Ecuador’s diplomatic mission in Venezuela will cease on‑site consular assistance on 27 July, after helping more than 1,500 Ecuadorian nationals, issuing 600 emergency passports and repatriating 36 people. Consular support will continue remotely and via Ecuadorian consulates in Bogotá and Panama.
