Venezuela seeks to strengthen healthcare through international cooperation

Venezuelan government officials and United Nations representatives met to discuss strategies for strengthening the national health system and developing international cooperation mechanisms. The discussions included technical guidelines for ongoing programs and the synchronization of measures with existing agreements with the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) to finance public health infrastructure.

Additionally, Venezuelan health authorities participated in the ninth Meeting of Mayors for Healthy Municipalities of the Americas, organized by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in Mexico. The forum focused on territorial action, social determinants of health, and the promotion of healthy habits to transform local sanitary management and consolidate the National Public Health System.
