Venezuela sees major oil deal endorsement and flight resumption
Venezuela is experiencing several significant developments across political, economic, and humanitarian sectors. The National Assembly has endorsed a 25-year oil agreement between Delcy Rodríguez and Donald Trump, aimed at increasing production by 1.5 million barrels per day and potentially creating 3.6 million jobs.
In transportation, American Airlines is resuming daily flights between Miami and Caracas. This service follows the reopening of Simón Bolívar International Airport, which had been closed since major earthquakes in June. The airline also continues its daily service to Maracaibo.
On the humanitarian front, Unicef has delivered over one million doses of diphtheria and tetanus vaccines to the Venezuelan Ministry of Health to protect children, pregnant women, and adults.
Meanwhile, Delcy Rodríguez addressed past controversies regarding the ‘Delcygate’ incident in Spain, dismissing previous accusations of illegal gold transport as false. Locally, the Lara region in Venezuela has faced severe damage from tropical wave 45, resulting in flooding, infrastructure damage, and power outages.
