Venezuela to host Pan American Baseball 5 Championship

The Pan American Baseball 5 Championship for adult and youth categories will be held in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, from October 14 to 17 at the Domo Bolivariano. The event features international competition with several nations vying for spots in upcoming World Cups.

In the adult category, Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and Cuba have already secured direct qualification for the World Championship, but must participate in the tournament to officialize their status. The youth category will see competition between Venezuela, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Peru, Argentina, and Mexico, with teams fighting for one of four available spots for the 2027 World Cup.

The Mexican delegation aims to win the continental title in the adult division and secure a berth in the 2027 World Cup for its youth team. The tournament highlights the unique discipline of Baseball 5, which is played without bats or gloves, requiring high levels of speed and coordination.
