Venezuela U19 volleyball team finishes fourth in South American Championship

The Venezuelan U19 women's volleyball team finished in fourth place at the South American Championship held in Maracaibo, Venezuela. In the decisive bronze medal match, Brazil defeated Venezuela 3-1 (25-23, 25-21, 13-25, 25-22) to secure the final qualifying spot for next year's World Championship.

Venezuela took an early lead by winning the first set 25-23. However, Brazil responded in the second set, utilizing strong defensive blocks to win 25-21. Although Venezuela showed resilience in the third set, Brazil dominated that frame 25-13. The fourth set remained competitive, but Brazil's defensive adjustments allowed them to secure a 25-22 victory.

Coach Yanni Capuzzi noted that while the result was disappointing, the team demonstrated significant growth on the international stage.
