Venezuela youth teams achieve success in CONMEBOL competitions

Venezuelan youth teams achieved notable success in international competitions held in Luque, Paraguay. The Secasports club became the first Venezuelan club to reach the podium in the CONMEBOL Evolución League, securing third place in the Under-13 category. The team, composed of 19 players, lost to Peru in the semifinals on penalties after a strong tournament performance. Leninyer García was named Most Valuable Player, and the club received the award for Most Orderly Delegation.

In futsal, the Venezuelan Under-17 national team maintained an undefeated streak in the South American Championship with a 2-0 victory over Colombia. Ángel Bastidas scored both goals in the match, bringing his tournament total to five. This win places Venezuela at the top of Group A, nearing qualification for the next round, while eliminating Colombia from contention.
