Venezuelan artist Joaquina performs at Radio City Music Hall

Venezuelan singer-songwriter Joaquina performed alongside Gustavo Dudamel and the New York Philharmonic at Radio City Music Hall on September 10. The event marked the beginning of Dudamel’s first season as the orchestra’s music and artistic director.

Joaquina, who grew up in Miami after leaving Venezuela as a child, has seen significant career growth following her 2023 Latin Grammy win for Best New Artist. Her first full-length album, ‘Al romper la burbuja’, earned four Latin Grammy nominations in 2025, including Album of the Year. In early 2026, she released an extended 18-track version titled ‘Al romper la burbuja 2’.

Her recent activities include collaborating with Juanes, who requested she compose ‘La versión en mi cabeza’ and invited her to open his September concert at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Additionally, she has become an ambassador for the beauty brand e.l.f., participating in their Mirror Mix music project with the song ‘ya no estoy’.
