Venezuelan banks Banesco and Activo upgrade mobile banking apps

Venezuelan financial institutions Banesco Banco Universal and Activo Banco Universal are enhancing their digital service offerings through updated mobile applications.

Banesco has focused on its BanescoMóvil app to provide 24-hour access to banking services. Key features include immediate balance inquiries, mobile payments, dynamic keys, and a virtual assistant named Dani. The platform also supports QR code scanning for payments and a new feature for third-party collections via push notifications.

Activo Banco Universal has launched Activo Digital, a new mobile application designed with an emphasis on user experience and security. The update introduces a 'trusted device' registration system and multiple authentication methods, including fingerprint scanning, facial recognition, and traditional security codes. Additionally, the app includes an integrated currency calculator and improved functionality for mobile payments by allowing users to copy and paste recipient data.
